Would you ever have thought of combining the Dolomites with Venice? A very demanding but also impressive tour that takes you from the mountains to the sea over more than 200 km.
Due to the length of the route and the speed required to reach the destination, only experienced cyclists should tackle this tour.
The tour leads through a wide variety of landscapes. Early in the morning we leave the majestic Dolomites behind us, descend the Agordo Valley, climb up to the San Boldo Pass with its characteristic tunnels. After the hilly vineyards of Prosecco we arrived to the plain and finally to the sea.
We drop off our bikes and reach Venice by vaporetto. On St. Mark's Square, we enjoy the magical atmosphere of the lagoon city on a short walk.

Klaus’s suggestions
-
prepare a bag with comfortable clothes to visit Venice and to return by bus, and hand it in at the reception before leaving for the tour
-
the tour is long, so it is important to take two water bottles, enough bars and energy gels with you
-
consider that the final part of the route, even if it is all flat, may be tough because of headwind
-
undertake this challenging tour with cyclists of the same level, because it is necessary to ride longer distances in a group
